What is Artistic mediation?

Artistic mediation is the work developped by a mediator, i.e. someone linking knowledge and learner, based on the use of art as the linking mean/tool and so provoking the access to knowledge throughout the awakening of emotions on the learner. As playing a key role, the mediator is sharing and facilitating the transfer of the knowledge/know-how which is freely managed by the learner but always affecting his/her behaviour in order to achieve tangible educative objectives.

AMALIA OR ART AS A TOOL FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION

The Amalia project, run from August 2006 to August 2009 in France, Portugal, Germany and Turkey, has achieved the following results: a horizontal analysis based on a collection of good practices a common poster a common denition of Art in Mediation a transferable framework to collect good european practices pedagogic objects achieved thanks to the artistic mediation in the different countries better understanding of national vocational training systems and their financial backgrounds in partner countries respect and better understanding of cultural and linguistic diversity, better understanding of historical and cultural back grounds All the products will be described on this blog in the following weeks.
